Streams on Heritage Radio Network are different (rm and mp3) - what is this about?

The reason for such diversity is that it is a collection of livestreams of the particpating project-partners.These internetradio-programs are made available by different European radio-stations. Therefore the used formats and codecs differ from station to station.
