Community Design Methodology – where can learn and design the architects of the future?

Category: Debates & Networking

24 hours 7 days per week – those students who are accepted into the Szent József Stúdió Kollégium have unlimited access to the studio place, which is a quite rare situation in Hungary. This opportunity is being offered for the Budapest Technical University architecture students who are interested in design, community service and faith. They are introduced to „community design methodology”, which integrates design ideation, social, economic, cultural, functional and operational considerations with a participatory workshop process to determine the criteria upon which it bases a design solution. Projects will include multiple building types, including housing, schools, community/cultural centers, and mixed-use developments. I interviewed Fr. Terrence Curry, SJ, AIA, architect, the founder of the Szent József Stúdió Kollégium.
